"Childish" Music Genius

  • Group's overall essential question (e.g. How are people’s beliefs shaped?): What determines people’s beliefs and actions?
  • My research question connected to essential question (How do movies and media’s portrayal of females after their views of themselves in society?): How was Mozart affected by the music that came before him?
  • Brief paragraph on why you’re interested in this topic:
Mozart, one of the greatest musician in the world. He wrote his first opera when he was 12 years old and symphony when was 9. However, the genius like him perhaps didn't belong to this cruel world. When he was only 37 years old, he passed away with sadness and pity, and the true reason became a mystery. When people talking Mozart, they always want to talk about Beethoven at the same time. Those two composer know each other and they all belong to the same period of Vienna music. Also, Beethoven was very admire Mozart and some of his music has the same themes or idea of what Mozart did. Most people, even some pro musician thought Mozart is just a wonderful craftsmen, people can only hear grace, happy, bright… in his music. Even Wagner said Mozart’s music always  like a childish music, so he will not has any connection with great. So what is the truth of Mozart’s music? How his music influenced the composer like Beethoven after him? I would like to research for this.
