Military For Life

Militarily has came over time, and nobody invented it. I mean, it happened when people where not happy with each other and start fighting.
Military means  armed forces who protect the cities and the countries they are protecting.
There are different type of militarily for example, the navy seal is an example for America.

  1. What are some of the weapons do military have?
Ans. Some of the major weapons are Machine guns ,tank, cannons, Combat aircraft etc.

 2.   Give me some background about the guns, and who invented?
Ans.  The Chinese had previously invented gunpowder in the 9th century. That made everything happened. When you look at the world right now and see that China have the world's militarily.

For the next blog post I am planing to find out why do some countries have more military resources than others?

When Do We Know?

  • Can you recall the taste when your mother breast-feeding you? If no, what is the earliest thing you can remember about yourself? The question is: when do we started to understanding and analyzing this world by ourselves? Brain can be impacted by the differences of age, environment, gender, connectivity, etc.
  • Here is an interesting point: One’s early life stress would impact his brain effectively, in the other word, it is the most effective pattern. Previous institutionalization is one common brain stimulation in early life. Memories and Emotions are more vulnerable
  • Brain development continues for an extended period postnatally. The brain increases in size by four-fold during the preschool period, reaching approximately 90% of adult volume by age 6 (Reiss et al. 1996; Iwasaki et al. 1997; Courchesne et al. 2000; Kennedy and Dehay 2001; Paus et al. 2001; Kennedy et al.2002; Lenroot and Giedd 2006). But structural changes in both the major gray and white matter compartments continue through childhood and adolescence, and these changes in structure parallel changes in functional organization that are also reflected in behavior. During the early postnatal period, level of connectivity throughout the developing brain far exceeds that of adults (Innocenti and Price 2005). This exuberant connectivity is gradually pruned back via competitive processes that are influenced by the experience of the organism. These early experience dependent processes underlie the well-documented plasticity and capacity for adaptation that is the hallmark of early brain development. (Extension of Human Brain)
  • As the article says that human brain only develops efficiently before the age of 6 and decreasing from that point. But most successful people in academic field with young ages kept their brain advancing longer than 9 years by training brain in daily life such as memorizing and deeply thinking.
  • The Organization of the Mature Brain The human brain is arguably the most complex of all biological systems. The mature brain is composed of more than 100 billion neurons (Pakkenberg and Gundersen 1997).Neurons are the information processing cells in the brain. There are many different kinds of neurons that vary in their size and shape as well as in their function. Neurons make connections with other neurons to form the information processing networks that are responsible for all of our thoughts, sensations, feelings and actions. Since each neuron can make connections with more than 1,000 other neurons, the adult brain is estimated to have more than 60 trillion neuronal connections. (Mature Brain)
  • There are too little things to let human know after age of six. In other words, too little interest. People get used to this world in the first six years and mentally stopped themselves from exploring the reality of this world. It is the reason that I can think of why there is a limit of efficiency of brain development. After age of 25, human brain does not have more capability of growing any longer, therefore people would act and react the ways like mature most likely.
  • Human beings use their brains though entire life. When it claims that our brains stopped developing at the age of 25, I would not believe that. Most knowledgeable people in the world are the elderly and how could they accomplish those achievements if their brains stopped growing at such an early age?

Childish Genius Mozart

Q:What is the difference between Mozart and the composer before him like Josef Haydn?

A: I listened Haydn's symphony 94 and Serenade No. 10 (Gran Partita, K 361), 3rd Movement by Mozart. and made some conclusions. The biggest different is Mozart's music always very smoothly, even though there are a lot of different style in his music. Unlike Mozart, Haydn's music always make you surprise. For example, Haydn's symphony 94 4th movement, it start very soft, however after several measures, the dynamics turns to fortissimo. After one second, it turns to mezzo-piano again. Also, there a some tune turns into minor in the symphony. Mozart not always do that, his music always be reasonable and the relationship between every part is perfectly connect.

Q:Why Mozart is important to music history?

Source:http://cityoperavancouver.com/
A: I found the answer to this question on Biography.com, a website that shares information about famous historical people. Mozart's father was a huge influence on the budding musician. At age 3, Wolfgang was already playing the piano and had perfect-pitch. By the age of 5, Mozart already wrote a miniature allegro (K. 1b) and andante (K. 1a). When Wolfgang was 6, Leopold decided to take him and his sister, Maria Anna (who was also a music prodigy), on tour to Europe. The young musicians performed at various locations such as royal courts where queens, emperors and other prestigious guests were in attendance. He also influenced Beethoven a lot and there are some similar style in Beethoven's music. As a result, Mozart play a role that connect the music style before and after him, so he is very important.

Q: What music is very famous by Mozart?
A: Mozart composed a lot of very good music such as symphony 40 in F minor, Magic flutes opera. As for me, I like Symphony #25 in G Minor, K 183 first movement best. In this music, it starts in a very cool and excited melody, but suddenly the tone turns to a soft a sad feel. This feeling disappeared very soon and then back to the theme( the cool parts) All in all, the tone turned very frequently and natural in this one, so I like it best.

FUTURE RESEARCH: What are the different ways composers create feelings in their listeners?
How does the culture of a time period affect the music that is composed?

Dress for less

                                                         SOURCE: http://static1.squarespace.com

How to dress fashionably and spend less money?. I found a fascinating article by a fashion expert, Cynthia Nellis, about style that talks about this.

"Because as much as I love fashion, I love a great deal"

- Buying too much expensive stuffs for fashion clothes and accessories is not that worth it because all of those stuffs gets old and out of trend. It is more worth it to buy clothes that are fashionable with great deals. Yes, you could still be stylish even with not so expensive clothes. It is about how you wear it with confidence and good posture. There are a lot of great deals on the internet and on some selected store if you just look. You can also sort out some clothes from the clearance section that can be fashionable and trendy. Fashion does not have to be expensive; you should pick and buy smarter.

"I believe you need to have a strategy to buy smarter"

- When buying clothes you have to pick smart. There are ways and tips on how you can shop smart. These includes: Picking a color story, Don't buy clothes that have a color that mostly your wardrobe composed of; try new colors, Buy stuffs that needs to go with something you already own, sometimes we shop because we just like it and we find is beautiful, like for example: you bought a cute skirt but you don't have a top to match it, so your cute skirt is stuck in you closet and never used it yet. Lastly, buy in multiples, buy multiple but varieties of clothes that you like when they are still cheaper or on sale. It prevents you from buying again when they are already expensive.

Q: How to save money on fashion?
A: You could save money while still being fashionable by finding great deals and budgeting your money.

Q:: How to find great deals?
A: To find out some great deal you have to go some processes like comparing prices of the stores, finding in-store deals and coupon codes, and search online. You could also find some sites or phones apps that sell clothes of people who never used it or bought it but don't fits her/him. These sites/apps are Smoopa, Coupons.com, Level money and Pricegrabber.

FUTURE RESEARCH: I plan on researching more about the new fashion trend and latest news about fashion.

The isolated land from reality

Did you know that 738 million people globally lack access to clean water and 37 percent are living in sub-Saharan Africa?  I found an interesting article from the Borgen Project, which is a non-profit organization trying to end poverty.

In "Top 10 poverty in Africa facts" the author gives 10 very meaningful facts about poverty in Africa. As I read the Blog I was shock about the facts given about south Africa. Below  are 5 facts that I was most surprised by.

  • Seventy-five percent of the world’s poorest countries are located in Africa,
  • Approximately one in three people living in sub-Saharan Africa are undernourished.
  • In sub-Saharan Africa, 589 million people live without electricity
  • Every year, sub-Saharan Africa loses $28.4 billion to water and sanitation problems.
  • Thirty-eight percent of the world’s refugees are located in Africa. Fewer than 20 percent of African women have access to education.

This article demonstrates how Africa isn't as developed as America. It also talks about their conditions and way of life. I think that America doesn't realize how bad the conditions are in Africa.

If you had the chance to travel to Africa which country would you go visit?
Were you surprised by what you just read?
What was the most surprising fact that you read?
Before reading this blog post did you know these facts?
Did you know that these countries were poor?

FUTURE RESEARCH: I will try to find out why some countries in Africa are rich while others are poor.

What makes Japanese anime unique and famous?

...You walk on a cloud
You drown in the sky
You dance with the wind
with starlight in your eyes…

source: imgbuddy.com

The history of anime begins at the start of the 20th century, when Japanese filmmakers experimented with the animation techniques that were being explored in the West.
The interesting part in the article Anime History is that Japanese anime initially came from the western cartoon, but after a period of time it developed its own unique style separated from western animation. Generally, anime is a term which used a lot by anime fans and it is actually a special kind of animation, especially refers to Japanese anime.

Compared to advanced 3D technology in the West, Japanese anime is less complex and more like planar pictures, but this characteristics don’t decrease the attraction of anime. On the contrary, the gap between anime and the real life makes it more charming. Also, as to make up the drawback for anime, the author would use fascinating drawing and dazzling color to give you magical visual enjoyment.

Anime has become a symbol of Japan and it enchants tons of anime fans all over the world. People watch it as entertainment, talk about it, make friends through it, some even create their own anime. Doujinshi, know as fanfiction in English, is self-published works mostly created by anime fans based on the original anime, it can be a novel, manga or a magazine. Costume play, short for cosplay, is like a role play when people dress like characters in the anime. Anime is like a tree growing bigger as many new things come out.

They know that nothing is impossible.
Ten Reasons Why Anime Nerds are Highly Satisfied in Life, in my opinion the most important part is that there is no limitation about creativity and imagination. Everything can happen in this world: You can be a normal kid for fourteen years but one day a hitman comes and tells you are gonna be a mafia boss; you can have the ability to see ghosts and community with them, and then discover another incredible world with new perception different from what people always say.

Also, you can learn a lot from anime. Each anime is not just a simple story, the author try to merge their feeling and idea in the work. They are like magicians, using lyrical and beautiful way to present tedious concept to all the audience, such as friendship, such as environment, such as love and growing.

You might feel bored about your immutable and frozen life in the real world, then come here, to experience many miracles that would never happen in our logical world, to discover another unknown side of you.

As an anime fan, I am always questioned by my friends who don’t watch anime such as “What does a fictitious world can give you?” or“How come you like an invented character?”
What do you think of it?

The Start of Everything

When did human start to think about themselves?
When did human want to express their ideas?
......
In book ART OF THE WESTERN WORLD wrote by Michael Wood, a Oxford Historian,  I found a lot of answers for questions such like these.

Q: Who is the most ancient art creator?
A: Before the Roman took over the Greek in 86 B.C., the Greek already had a deep knowledge about history, philosophy, astronomy, mathematics, poetry, drama, music, and aesthetics. The Greek art is a significant start of western art.

Q: What inspired the Greek to do art?

AThe Greek believed that everything is born for a reason, and this also included art. The Greek art often showed how the Greek desired perfection. Things such as origins, destiny, morality, and government were made into art. Lots of the later western art is based on this idea.

Q: In what ways does the Greek apply their art?

A: When democracy was introduced at the end of sixth century, art was more involved in normal citizen's life. Art in this time start to show more about nature, individual and idea. Painters at this time often paint on pot that is used in daily life. But the most important art form the Greek made is sculptures and architectures. The most famous of all is the temple Parthenon. The Greek temples are often open structure instead of closed ones. At first these temples or sculptures were mad of mud and wood, but later the Greek found stone is a better material to make these art.
www.sacred-destinations.com

Q: How does the Greek art reflect about what they are thinking?
AThe Greek were a group of deep-thinking people. They treat their bodies as well as their minds. The Greek also loved to debate about the nature and themselves. They admire good characteristics such as pride, courage, strength, honesty and virtue. Perfection on body, mind is what the Greek wanted to achieve. The philosopher, Plato, said:  "If there are arts, there is a standard of measure, and if there is a standard of measure, there are arts; but if either is wanting, there is neither".    This is fully reflected the art that the Greek made can't leave measuring. The rule that was settled by nature is the most important thing.

How did the art evolved after the Greek? Let's find out in my next post! :)

Future----Change or Extinct

If we did not change the behavior that causing pollution, the future of us will END up as the world did not allow human to survive.
Base on the data that collected by The University of Chicago Laboratory Schools.

http://static1.businessinsider.com/image/

Lake Michigan is 306 miles long and 118 miles wide, with an area of 22,300 square miles. The maximum depth is about 922 feet. The surface is 577 feet above sea level. the level of Lake Michigan has been rising over the past two decades.

Why the level of Lake Michigan will rising over? According to the google research, in this 20 years, The Earth’s atmosphere emerge reflect more heat than before because human over emission the carbon dioxide. It causing the temperature of Earth was rising and keep melting the Ice that in the Arctic Ocean and Antarctica.

I think the relationship between the Science/Technology and the nature environment become more and more complex. In nowaday, the Pollution of The Nature Environment was growing along with The Develop of The Science/Technology. This make human social cannot find out a really good balance between develop and the pollution.

http://chicagorants.com/wp-content/
Chicago seemed like a perfect place to build a city with all its fresh water lake nearby. The Chicago River seemed like it would give good water forever. Yet it did not take long for people to discover that this fortune would not last long. People took their water from the Chicago River without caring about purification. But as the population increased, so did pollution. In 1854 cholera struck Chicago as sewage was emptied directly into the river and carried out into Lake Michigan.

Human choose to build city nearby a hurt body of water because water was a physical needs of a living thing. Also build a city nearby a hurt body of water can help with transportation. But, that stat to became a problem on both city side and the nature side. Firstly, the people that living in the city became more and more rely to the water and that create more and more conflict between human and animal. Secondly, the water resource was polluted by human factories and human daily residue.

In my opinion, “Mr. Nature” have a scale to balance all the living thing and human is one of living thing that on the scale. "Pollution" is the extra-stone that show up on the scale and it is the reason that the world’s balance start to broke up. What can we do? The Pollution has emerged and we only can keep it as “light” as possible. Human, do not make that extra-stone more bigger. Is the time that we need to doing something to stop the pollution. So as to keep our world safe enough for human to survive, we need to close the light before we fell asleep, off the tap after we brush our teeth. Base on the research, more than 90% of the pollution was from the factor that produce the resources for our daily life. That mean when human waste more resources, It “produce” more pollution.

         *Personal Reflection Question:

How bad the pollution is in Chicago now?

How many dollor did we waste every year in Chicago?
How many did we spent on Reduce pollution?

FUTURE RESEARCH: I plan on researching the effects of plastic pollution?

Fashion?, What is that?

Fashion?, What is that?

                             http://www.pbs.org/newshour/extra/1999/10/what-is-fashion/

Q: What is fashion?
A: "Fashion is a language which tells a story about the person who wears it". Personally I think fashion is in our daily lives, although some people do not notice it. It is a way to express someone's self mood or feeling in a certain day. It is like a language that opens a small window on a person that enable us to see or know more about that person; to know a persons personality. Fashion industry is a big business, there are a lot of people involved in it.

Q: What are fashion designers?
A: Fashion designer are people who makes our clothing, they design and make clothes based on what is trendy and fashionable. They are also the one who makes clothing for artists and model; they make certain or special clothes for special occasions.

A: No, Fashion is not just for girls it is for everybody. It does not pick any gender or body size; they are not made for just a specific group of people. The Growth Of Comics And Superheroes

Did you ever wonder how Superman and Batman were created? Read this post to learn more:

I found most of the content on HOWSTUFFWORK.com, which is an award-winning website on how the world actually works.
I also found a part on IGN.com, which is a website founded in September 1996, which focuses on video games, films, music and other media.

SOURCE:cdn4.list25.com

Q: How Comics started getting bigger?
A: The origin of comics is difficult to define. Ask three experts the first comic book and you will get three different answers. However, the one that everybody knows appeared later in 1842 with simple drawings and captions in America. That is similar to the comics today. Modern comic books grew out of comic strips, which were almost always humorous and those short narratives with just a few panels. Comic strips were just one of the phases in the evolution of comic books. In the 1930s, many still-famous characters, such as Popeye and Little Orphan Annie appeared on newsstands and in gas stations in the form of cartoon books. In 1933, the modern comic began to take shape in the form of "Funnies on Parade." These started o attach people's eyes.

Q: How did DC change comics?
A: In 1935, DC Comics printed the first comic book filled with mostly new material instead of comic strip reprints. It introduced the American public to brand-new characters and new style of comics. After a long time, comics finally became very important and a true cultural force. Superman was born with amazing speed, more power than a locomotive. That was the legend of comic book and world-famous American icon.

During World War II, superhero-themed comic books were enormously popular. In some of the most popular titles, iconic superheroes battled (and always defeated) the forces of evil in ongoing series. Other, non-hero characters were hugely popular, too.

Q:Why do we love superheroes?
A: Superhero stories are mostly science fiction, fantasy and even romance. They thrive in allowing the audience to transport themselves to other worlds that are both simpler and more exciting than their own. On the other hand, they force the audience to remain in this world, accomplishing their escapist thrills not by wishing the world away, but by wishing the world were different.

In the next blog, I plan to focus on comics in other countries. I will talk about some featured characters and the difference between them and american comics.

Beijing- the capital of China

Do you know how Beijing became the capital of China?
I found interesting information that can help answer this question and many  more on answers.com

Q: What does Beijing look like? Could you tell me some specific information such as geographic?
A: Beijing is the capital of China. It is in the north part of China. It is also one of the most popular and famous cities in the world. The city proper is the 3rd largest in the world. Beijing and Tianjin is surrounded by Hebei Province.

Q:Could you tell us some more details about social, economic, and political?
A: It is nation's educational, economical, political center. It is the spirit of the whole country. It is also a city which develops most quickly.  I agree with this because I live in Tianjin which is very close to Beijing. I have been to Beijing several times. The biggest conference is held in Beijing, and the economic of Beijing develops fastest in the world. There are also many best universities in Beijing.
www.greatwallofchinamarathon.com

A: Why does China choose Beijing as its capital?
Q:Three sides of Beijing are high mountains and one side of Beijing is plain. Beijing's geography is kind of like China The mountains on both sides of the large plain are like two arms, so it is the best place to defend the invasion of other peoples from the southern part of China. The high mountains and the Great Wall can keep the invaders out. In the concept of military science, Beijing is also one of the most difficult cities to conquer.Since the Yuan dynasty whose ruler is Kublai Khan, Beijing has been the capital of China until except for a brief moment during the beginning of the Ming dynasty where the capital was in Nanking .Beijing became the Capital of ancient China in 674 BCE, because the late great Master Han of the Mongli Dynasty was Buried there.

I think it is because Beijing has been the capital of China for almost thousand years. People in China believe that, and Beijing has a very great geography.

How do you think of the reason that Beijing becomes the capital of China?

We will go to discuss about Washington DC in my next project.

  • Brief paragraph on why you’re interested in this topic:
  1. Group’s overall essential question: What shapes people’s beliefs and behaviors?
  2. My research question connected to essential question: Why have human brains not fully developed?
  3. People think there are not so many prodigies out in the world, and each one of them can certainly change the whole world. Here is the question: Have we ever think about that every one of us is a prodigy, but can not use our special power? During the evolution, eagles evolved beaks to hunt for living, but human developed the most complex part of all organs, the brain. The interest thing is that there is only ten percent of the whole brain has been developed during the more than 5000 years. Questions remain: What about other ninety percent? When can we fully develop? What impact can it make if human brain is fully developed?

"Childish" Music Genius

  • Group's overall essential question (e.g. How are people’s beliefs shaped?): What determines people’s beliefs and actions?
  • My research question connected to essential question (How do movies and media’s portrayal of females after their views of themselves in society?): How was Mozart affected by the music that came before him?
  • Brief paragraph on why you’re interested in this topic:
Mozart, one of the greatest musician in the world. He wrote his first opera when he was 12 years old and symphony when was 9. However, the genius like him perhaps didn't belong to this cruel world. When he was only 37 years old, he passed away with sadness and pity, and the true reason became a mystery. When people talking Mozart, they always want to talk about Beethoven at the same time. Those two composer know each other and they all belong to the same period of Vienna music. Also, Beethoven was very admire Mozart and some of his music has the same themes or idea of what Mozart did. Most people, even some pro musician thought Mozart is just a wonderful craftsmen, people can only hear grace, happy, bright… in his music. Even Wagner said Mozart’s music always  like a childish music, so he will not has any connection with great. So what is the truth of Mozart’s music? How his music influenced the composer like Beethoven after him? I would like to research for this.

Military around the world, Can we get more technology?

  • How have the weapons used by military changed over time?

  • My research question connected to essential question (How do movies and media’s portrayal of females after their views of themselves in society?):
  • Brief paragraph on why you’re interested in this topic:

I really like learn about militarily, and more specifically resource, weapons. I want to study how they made weapons and other resources. I also want to know when they invent/became militarily. I already know that militarily is one thing that effect our life, and made impact to our life. Military has helped as from other enemies. I want to study who and when has weapons were found.
