A romantic city-Paris

Today, we are going to talk about Paris. I find some information about Paris here. At first, the first impression of Paris of mine is that Paris is a city with love, with stories. However, I believe Paris is a city with fashion, nice viewpoints, and is the center of politics and business in Europe.
SOURCE: ?

When you arrive in Paris, you will think it is much beautiful. You will see many people with fancy clothes on the street. Paris is a city with much fashion after all. A mundane urban scene you will see is that almost everybody is in elegant clothes. This is also the scene that you can only find in Paris. Moreover, Paris is not only a city with fashion, and it is also a hub of business and politics in Western Europe.

There are also some super famous viewpoints in Paris. The most famous one is Effiel Tower. It is 320 meters high, and it is also the highest view point in Pairs.

The Effiel Tower is designed and erected by Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. I suggested to go there because it is a really beautiful building, but I heard from somebody else that the security there is not that good. When you get there, take care of your stuffs.
Anyway, you'd better visit Paris. It is really a beautiful city with cultures, people, traditions, views. These are my suggestions. Thank you.

We are talking about Tokyo next week. You will learn many Asian cultures at that time.

Top 3 earthquakes disasters in the world

[INSERT LEAD SENTENCE HERE]
This information was from NBC News. This source is reliable because this earthquake already happened and so many people who were survived from earthquake can prove this information.
1: Shensi, China, Jan. 23, 1556

Magnitude about 8, about 830,000 people died. This earthquake happened in the Shaanxi province (formerly Shensi), China, about 50 miles east-northeast of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi. More than 830,000 people were killed. This earthquake made a big hole, uplift, subsidence, liquefaction and landslides on the ground. Most towns in the damage area reported city walls collapsed, most houses collapsed and many people reported ground fissures with water gushing out. Same as this website:

Magnitude 9.1, about  227,898 people died. This was the third largest earthquake in the world since 1900 and the largest since the 1964 Prince William Sound, Alaska temblor. In total, 227,898 people were killed or were missing and 1.7 million people were killed by the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in 14 countries in South Asia and East Africa. (In January 2005, the death toll was 286,000. In April 2005, Indonesia reduced its estimate for the number missing by over 50,000.).

ANALYSIS:
From this information everyone can see that all of this earthquakes were really dangerous that millions of people died. I thought only in Japan huge earthquakes occur. Because I heard so many times about earthquake happened in Japan. So I learned that most huge earthquake happened in China. Also it was really interesting for me to search about this topic.

Mozart and Tchaikovsky, Happiness and Pathetic

After watching the documentary about Mozart by BBC and the biography for Tchaikovsky, I learned a lot about these two composer. Their life have some similarity, they all were know as genius but end miserably. In the same way, they also have some different on their music style.

Similarity:
Mozart and Tchaikovsky, two great composer in the history of music, they were demonstrated their amazing talent  when they were very young. According to the documentary about Mozart by BBC, Mozart At age 3, Wolfgang was already playing the piano and had perfect-pitch. By the age of 5, Mozart already wrote a miniature allegro (K. 1b) and andante (K. 1a). In the same way, according to the biography for Tchaikovsky, Tchaikovsky was know as a very talent child. He could remember the music he listened even once. He also very creative and have many special ideas on music.
More over, they all end their life miserably. Mozart dead when he was only 37 years old, Tchaikovsky dead at 53, and he had very serious depression and even considered suicide.

www.youtube.com

Difference:
As for the difference between Mozart and Tchaikovsky, I want to skip the life experience and talk more about their music. Mozart is know as the composer of royal music. His music is more considering  as relax and happiness. However, Tchaikovsky's music, according to the label of his symphony no.6, is called "Pathetique".  This shows how he struggled with depression and sad. Also, his symphony no.4 and no.5 are called trilogy with no.6. The emotional is more and more intensely through those three symphony. Finally, according to The Telegraphy, Tchaikovsky suicide after he finished Pathetique.

Lesson to be a Genius

Prodigies are always attract everyone’s eyeballs in the way of presenting unexpectable wonders. Why can those people be called “Prodigies” but not others? Let’s
The Cerebrum: The cerebrum or cortex is the largest part of the human brain, associated with higher brain function such as thought and action. The cerebral cortex is divided into four sections,
  • Frontal: speech, thought and memory
  • Parietal: sensory input from your body
  • Temporal: auditory information from your ears
  • Occipital: visual information from your eyes
The Cerebellum: The cerebellum, or "little brain", is similar to the cerebrum in that it has two hemispheres and has a highly folded surface or cortex. This structure is associated with regulation and coordination of movement, posture, and balance.
Limbic System: The limbic system, often referred to as the "emotional brain", is found buried within the cerebrum. Like the cerebellum, evolutionarily the structure is rather old.
Brain Stem: Underneath the limbic system is the brain stem. This structure is responsible for basic vital life functions such as breathing, heartbeat, and blood pressure. Scientists say that this is the "simplest" part of human brains because animals' entire brains, such as reptiles (who appear early on the evolutionary scale) resemble our brain stem.
Cortex
A genius’s brain is heavily biased towards long or short connections. Short connections indicate an aptitude in one interest, while long connections suggest aptitude in many interests and the ability to see problems from new perspectives.
Frontal cortex
Geniuses have a denser concentration of mini-columns than the rest of the population – it seems that they simply pack more in. Mini-columns are sometimes described as the brain’s ‘microprocessors’, powering the thought process of the brain.
Dopamine receptors
Research shows that geniuses have fewer dopamine receptors in the thalamus. Dopamine inhibits neuronal signals, cancelling out information it deems worthless. The shortage of such receptors in geniuses might mean they can consider unusual solutions to a problem normal brains disregard.
Parietal Lobe
Einstein’s brain was smaller than normal, but his maths-processing parietal lobe was enlarged. Developing a skill over time that relies heavily on one area seems to cause enlargement and strengthening.

How my favorite anime matches the hero’s journey exactly.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn, which is my favorite anime last throughout my entire middle school life, is a typical Cinderella story talked about a no-good teenager boy grows up into a Mafia boss, and here is how I think is a perfect example of hero’s journey.

I am too sexy for my blog post 5
1. The ordinary world【The special one, or the chosen one is always normal at the very beginning~ How comes I don't know the story the ugly duckling!?】
Sawada Tsunayoshi, the main character in this anime, was a normal 14-year-old teenager who sucked at both life and school. What’s more, he was said to be even worse than a loser: he could never pass any exams; he sucked at any sports; he was afraid of any kinds of dogs even chihuahua; and anyone could bully him. He had no friend and the only reason he went to school was because his first crush was there. Did you feel a little bit sorry for him so far? Well, let’s keep reading.

2. The call to adventure【Here comes the chance~OMG you are a gift!!】
The one who came and shook “up the situation” was Reborn(that’s why the title of this anime is Katekyo Hitman Reborn, a hitman tutor), the world’s strongest hitman. He told Tsuna he was requested by the Ninth boss of Vongola, the most powerful Mafia Famiglia in Italy to train Tsuna as his home tutor.

3. Refusal of the call【I don't wanna be a hero! No I just don't want to!!】
Tsuna showed strong antipathy at first, refused to change or even make the first step. He was still the boy who hid when he faced a problem.

4. Meeting with the mentor【Calm down dude~You know you are getting through your puberty~】
Reborn isn't that kind of patient teacher who will give Tsuna enough time to get through his difficulty. Actually, he knew Tsuna didn't have time: once people knew that he was the next generation Vongola boss, intense and harsh competition over power would easily take his life. Half teasing half training, Tsuna met a lot of people and faced different situations under the purpose of reborn.

5. Crossing the threshold【On second thought it isn't that bad, is it!?】
The great growing of Tsuna’s personality appeared in the battle with Mukuro, when he first faced the life-and death situation, and this was also the first time he stood up out of fears for his friends and families. We can see a new life born, not perfect but flexible, immature but can always get your attention.

6. Tests, allies, and enemies【Come on we are on our way to challenge the final boss, if you don't wanna die so fast, just gain some experience!!】
Tsuna was getting more used to the Mafia world, though he never admitted that he is the boss of Vongola. He had his six guardians and friends who supported him all the time, he defeated Mukuro and won the battle against Varia for the position of Vongola boss.

7. Approach【I have been wondered for my entire life why I am always there when troubles come...】
Tsuna accidentally traveled to the 10-year-later world and found himself facing a new nefarious and powerful enemy, Byakuran. He and his friends hided in their secret base and were trained to prepare for the approaching battle.

8. The ordeal【Today is the first day of the rest of my life~】
Tsuna and his allies broke into Irie Shoichi’s base. They fought hard and grew up a lot, but as the enemies were so strong, they were captured and Tsuna had to face a serious choice: the Vongola sky ring or his friends’ lives. The whole situation turned as Irie betrayed Byakuran, and they found out Irie actually is an agent and the whole things were planned before.

9. The reward: 【Home, sweet home~】
Irie was shocked when Byakuran showed up and told him he knew everything Irie has planned, and Tsuna had no choice but to agreed to play against Byakuran in a game called Choice. Tsuna and his friends were safe, at least at that moment, but the future is unknown. They went back to their base and waited for recovery.

10. The road back【WT...The earth is so dangerous I just wanna leave!!】
The training was harsh, and there were dispute and argument, but people is coming together as one. There were sadness and frustration but also happiness. The Vongola had failed the battle, and they started to flee, they escaped into a forest and decided to defend.

11. The resurrection【You have to something called plot armor...magic bullet shield always for hero...】
It finally came to the climax when Tsuna faced Byakuran in an enclosed space. Tsuna easily fail because of the great gap between their power. When his woke up, his friend was hurt, tortured but they kept trying. At the last minute Tsuna understood his true mind and his flame as resolve shone brightly like the most beautiful scene.

12.Return with the elixir【I am too sexy for my hair...】
"This time traveling taught us a lot...", they still couldn't believe that the harsh battle just happened several days ago, but as they gather around and the usual quarreling started again, it seemed nothing has changed.

Can you believe they are the same person…

But...I still like him~~~~

He is still the boy who hated school and is afraid of chihuahua...
complained a lot when he is troubled...
but something inside is different.

How is a comic book made?

In the last blog, I compared the difference between manga and comics. In this blog, I will talk about the key question:"How does the idea of a comic book turn into a successful product?" I found the information at "comicbooks.about.com", which is one of the largest website help millions of users answer questions, solve problems, learn something new, and find inspiration. According to the article, in order for a comic to be made you need someone to draw first, write a story, color the images, edit it and finally publish.

http://kidmademodern.com

The writer creates the overall story and dialogue of the comic book. It could easily be that this person came up with the idea or concept on their own, but the first idea mostly would not be the final story. This person will give the basic structure, time and place setting, characters to the comic book. Sometimes the story will be completely finished but other times, the writer may give a basic draft and then come back to add dialogue.

The penciler's job is bring images to a basic, simple story and attract people's eyes. It is done in pencil so the artist can fix mistakes or improve things quickly. This person is responsible for the overall look of the comic and showing the beauty of this comic. People judge a comic books mostly on their artwork. After that, usually the penciler would go over the pencil lines in black ink in order to add depth to the art and give it more 3D look.

Most comic books are colorful and that is the work of a coloristThe colorist adds color, lighting, and shading to the inks of the comic book. They are often criticized  because people would easily notice if the colorist use the wrong color. A good colorist spends a lot of time on putting colors into the ink to turn the color truly in life but some would not in order to save money.

After adding words, sound effects, titles, captions, word bubbles, and thought bubbles into the comic, the comic goes to the editor. The editor oversees production quality and get the creator or another person to fix the mistake if something is wrong.

Do you think  the comic is ready to print and publish after all these things? No. Press would release the information of this comic book to websites and magazines as well as advertising to get the word out before the comic is even finished. Then you can get the new comic soon. In the next blog post, I will introduce some major superheroes and their society.

What makes the US constitution unique?

The United State constitution is the most basic law. All other laws (local, state...) must be agreed by U.S. Constitution.

Congress called a secret meeting in Philadelphia in 1787 to revise the Articles of Confederation. It wrote a new Constitution, which was adopted in 1789. The reason why the congress wanted to revise the Articles of Confederation is that the rules were really old.
http://cdn5.freedomoutpost.com

One factor that really shaped America is Constitution. The important part of the constitution is the separation of power which means that corruption can not happened because of the equal separation of government: legislative, executive and judicial. Each branch has some power over the others, this system is called Check Balances.

http://www.mnialive.com/

Gradually, there were other states which were admitted in the Union: Vermont, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio. In 1803 Louisiana was bought from France.

http://cdn-4.britishbattles.com
The disputes continue in the field of Navy trade. The division of territory and spheres of influence in North America between the United States and the United Kingdom led to the British-American War (sometimes called the Second War of Independence) (1812-1814).

The American colonies declared war in 1812 in the belief that they can use the United Kingdom being busy with Frances to win a war. Britain was ,at war with Napoleon (France), and they hoped that the American colonists could take the rest of the British domination out of North America. The colonists invasion into Canada was a total fiasco and the United Kingdom began to move other forces to America. The British did not want to start another war because they were not willing to invest additional resources in such an uncertain enterprise, which would attempt to retake North America. At the end, both sides agreed to return to the status quo and make an agreement for addressing to the biggest controversy.

Does the place you live in influence your sense of style?

https://amynutsford.files.wordpress.com

I came across an article entitled Does your style adapt to the country you live in?, which seemed interesting to me. It was written by Sylvia, who is fashion blogger and have lived in more than 7 countries. This makes this article reliable because she has been there herself and and saw it herself how people dressed in certain countries and how this also affected her style. I believe a country's climate, customs/traditions and individuals social class/wealth determines people's fashion style.

In her article she asked, "Do you have a clear sense of your personal style? And does it change, depending on the country you live in?". In my own opinion and experience moving here in America, yes it definitely does. When I moved here it totally changed my style and tasting in clothing. I got fond of dresses and started to love fashion. Since they have stores here that sells trendy clothes that is very different in the country I am from, which is Philippines.

Based on Sylvia's article this is how people dress in certain places like:

The Netherlands (Amsterdam, Nijmegen)

People in Netherlands, which are the Dutch people wear comfortable clothing, the very common one's are jeans and jumpers. They also wear layers of clothing such as, Tunics over trousers, cardigans, and lots of jackets, since the weather in Netherlands is unpredictable. They prefer cheap clothing that are fashionable rather than the branded and costly one's.

Italy (Bologna)

Fashion is hugely important in Italy. You can find all major brands in every city and the way you dress is really important here. People wear high quality and tailored clothes. Fur is a very common style during the winter season. People dress to impress and to show off, they have like a tradition every Sunday afternoon where everyone walks in the streets looking good and well-dressed.They follow fashion trends and never getting left out of the latest fashionable clothing.

Japan (Yokohama / Tokyo)

Shopping is important for Japanese people, specifically the major brands. They also have lots of shopping outlets and fashion trends are followed too. It is so important for every Japanese woman to own at least 1 Louis Vuitton designer bag. Everyone has them weather you are rich or poor Japanese woman have it. They see brands as status symbols, so they have to fit in the society, so they gotta have a Louis Vuitton bag. be part of accepted society, You gotta have it. My style was dressy and fashionable here, although I did not succumb to buying a Louis Vuitton bag. While for the teenage people, they wear Quirky street style clothes.

Australia (Sydney)

Only few Australian people dress up fashionably. Fashion is not really a big deal here. They only have few trendy shops and do not focus much on brands or designer handbags. People here mostly just casual and relaxed clothing, which reflects their laid back lifestyle. Some examples of relaxing clothes are just plain t-shirts and baggy trouser, sneakers, comfy shoes. The most common one's are shorts or three quarter pants that both men and women wear.

China (Shanghai)

As we all know and as I have learned from my world cultures class, the main trade is China before is silk, which means the country has abundant silk fabrics. China has lots of shopping malls with all major brands. You will find variety of creative customized clothing. Chinese people's style is a mixture of western and influences. You will find silk everywhere. They also make their own clothing, which is not shocking thing because most of the things all around the world are manufactured in China. They also makes counterfeit brands of shoes, bags and clothing. You won't be able to tell if a bag is genuine or not.

Singapore

Singaporean people loves fashion, they dress up for parties, but wear very formal and traditional clothes at work like, suites and dresses. It is common for them to brag and show off their possessions and clothes to emphasize their status of life, like say if they are wealthy people.
In conclusion the country you live in affects your style even for a bit. Your style is greatly influenced by your environment, because you just go to the flow and try to fit it or otherwise you will feel left out and odd or different from others.

In your own opinion, do you think the place where you live in influences your style?

Take Action To Save The World---Earth Day

Earth day, the day that we save the energy by our action. To use the car as less as we can, to close the light as long as we can, and to save more energy. What is Earth day? Based on the official Earth Day website, Earth Day is an idea that we can change the world's environment thought our action.

"At the time, Americans were slurping leaded gas through massive V8 sedans. Industry belched out smoke and sludge with little fear of legal consequences or bad press. Air pollution was commonly accepted as the smell of prosperity."

www.pennlive.com
In 1950s, more than 70% of the American car was using the V8 engine. Now, only 30% is using V8 because people start to focusing on the pollution that make from Car. Earth day really help people realize how important the natural is and people try their best to make the world better.

Earth day have change the mind of children. It make children to be a part of the protector of natural. When those children grow up, their will teaching their children to do so and that make a virtuous cycle. This is a step by step process that need us to support through our actions.

"The fight for a clean environment continues in a climate of increasing urgency, as the ravages of climate change become more manifest every day. We invite you to be a part of Earth Day and help write many more victories and successes into our history. Discover energy you didn't even know you had. Feel it rumble through the grassroots under your feet and the technology at your fingertips. Channel it into building a clean, healthy, diverse world for generations to come."

www.slideshare.net
Those was not only word. It also can be the small idea that change our world and the Earth day was not only an idea any more. It become a habit of us, we want to save the energy even it was not Earth day. For example, now we change the light bulbs from old ones that used more electricity to new ones that use less electricity. The history of the Earth have changed 2 million years ago because of the evolution of human being. 2 million years after, the history of Earth can change because this idea. Use your action to change the world.

Question: What will you do on the Earth Day to save the energy?

Every day our US worriers are helping us to have our freedom. We need something that will protect the worriers form RP G's, any shooting, and finally from missiles. A RPG is is a shoulder-fired, anti-tank weapon system that fires rockets equipped with an explosive warhead. The raytheon-xos-2-exoskeleton was very helpful to the soldiers.
