  4. Overall, I think Imperialism was positive for Africa because of the economic and religious effects. The advertisement of the Lipton's Teas shows that Africans was able to make money for Europeans (Doc. B) . This proves that Europeans pushed the economic in Africa moving ahead and made Africans become richer.

  5. I think the invasion of Europeans had a negative effect on Africans religiously. According to photograph on Corbis.com Africans are being educated about religion(Doc C) and how they all should be Christans and according to Pears' Soap advertisement, if you are not a Christan then you are a partner with the devil (Doc A).

  6. In my opinion imperialism was positive and neither negative for Africa because of the economic an religious effects. It's true that Europeans improve their country but in one way they just come to Africa and take the whole profit from it. For example Europeans build their own factories and force African people work for them but Europeans take the money from the crop. Also Europeans learn in African school only Christianity because they thought that it's the best for them because they believed in Christianity.
    Document===> B and C

  8. Imperialism was positive for Africa because of the document G and document B have been proved true and representing my point. European countries led and pushed Africa's economy by using working force, hiring employees and building advanced factories there. According to document G, imports from Africa to the G.B. was raised from less and 5 million pounds to approximately 7 million pounds per year from 1854 to 1900.

  11. I think Imperialism is positive. According to the advertisement Pears' Soup by Rudyard Kipling tells me that the Europeans were saying that Europeans are all the way up and Africans are at the bottom. This shows me Europeans were trying to clean up Africa. Europeans were trying to help Africa.

  12. Imperialism was negative for Africans because of the social and political effects. According to the pear soap advisement and Rudyard Kipling , Europeans believed they were superior to Africans and Europeans needed to civilize the Africans. The Document A shows us that Africans were under European social pressure. This proves the negative effect on African population. On other hand the economic effected positively, which shows us Document B. The Africans get jobs , so they can earn money and develop the economic situation in Africa by working on different manufacture.

  14. Imperialism was positive for Africa because of the religious and economic effect.

    The picture in Document C which is a Methodist Sunday School in Angola 1925 shows that Africans gather together in one place to praise God (Doc. C). This demonstrates that this has a good effect on Africans. They are getting more religious and they are learning about Christianity.

    The graph in Document G shows that imports and exports increased through time, from 1854-1900 (Doc. G). This proves that there is a growth in Africa's Economy, there is an increase in Imports and Exports.

  15. One chart on The British Empire which published in 1996, Trevor Owen Lloyd stated that the imports from Africa in 1900 had grown almost twice compared to 1854. This shows that imperialism helped Africa economy grow. Also, Lipton's Tea built railroads to transfer the goods. This helped the information movement in Africa. Therefore, imperialism is a good action for Africa.

  16. Imperialism was negative for Africa because of the economic effects. According to LIPTON'S TEA ,Europeans has the largest sale of tea in the world . They think they have the best productivity in the world . And in the advertisement , we see that they use Africans to product and transport that means they can dominate Africans.
