Article “ Time travel may be possible for certain tiny particles, but probably not” explains how and why time travel is both possible and impossible. The author states that although time travel has not yet succeeded in the real world, but at least it is possible in the math world. In order to make the hypothesis succeed there must be something strong enough that can bend space and time. CTC, stands for “closed timelike curve”, it is a powerful gravitational field that can bend the spacetime back on itself. CTC can provide people opportunities to go back. However time travel has many issues, such as one’s action can undo itself, which means this person has never been born. The article also suggests other ways of time travel and some solutions of the paradox.

I think time travel is great. It allows you to go back to visit someone who is already gone now or fix some issues that bothers you a lot in present days. Time trips can lead to countless possibilities. Especially now, more and more time travel related movies/fictions release, more and more people are interested in time travel. Scientists put a lot of effort on this topic. However, whether it is possible or not, I don’t think I have the courage to go on a time trip. Decisions I made yesterday made me unique now. As I mentioned before, time travel can cause many possibilities including personalities. I’m not sure I would think the same way after I go back and change a couple of things in my past.

I think time travel is good, and I want to travel back if it is possible. Although many people want to travel back, we can not let it work, it will obey the rules in nature, we can not work against nature. That is my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you time travel can lead to countless possibilities. If there was a time travel machine i would go back in time. I don't think it's a good thing to make a time travel machine. I say that because some people might misused the machine.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you time travel will achieve in the future and I would like to went back through the time machine. But the problem is coming, as we all know, it needs a lots of energy to open the big enough “Wormhole", but in the same time, the energy have extremely strong tension, so if we use the spacecraft available now, it will be teared in many peace for sure. In fact people have to open a wormhole which diameter is over 1 light-year. However, we need provide imaginary energy to support it. Another problem is the wormhole is all around our universe, so even through we open a huge enough wormhole, our destination is unpredictable. Perhaps people will go to the place outside the solar system where any artificial spacecraft never went out. As a result, although the idea time travel is great, it cannot come out in short period and there is a lot of questions such as is there any one wants to be the first human to accept the experiment and endure the high risk is obscure now.
